Forwarding Business Development Manager
- ColliCare Lojistik is looking for ROAD FREIGHT and SEA FREIGHT Business Development Managers who have a vast experience in Freight Forwarding with a remarkable Sales record .
- Responsible for all sales activities with other Business Development Managers in Sales Department
- Responsible for creating new customers in Road Freight and Sea Freight
- Provides weekly EOWs & monthly Sales Report to Country Sales Manager regarding sales performance
- Maintaining current clientele and expanding the company’s revenues and profits with new business
- Defining, developing and evaluating the Sales Strategy, based on the organization's goals, market needs, cost factors and profit margin.
- Assesses the financial aspects of business development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development allocations, and projected return on investment
- Building a comprehensive database about the markets, competitors and everything related to competitors, their products, prices and marketing plans.
- To define new potential destinations while expanding shipping services , road freight , multimodal and air freight forwarding activities .
- Contacting customers, following up and answering all inquiries until sales goals are achieved.
- To identify potential customers, negotiate as per price guidelines given and ensure maximization of profits and business opportunities.
- Analyze the data collected by marketing research about markets and competitors and present them in the form of results for which appropriate decisions can be taken
- Responsible for sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure profitability, analyze business developments and monitor market trends.
- Responsible for RFI and RFQ . Knowledge in global tenders ,fullfill excel sheets ,analysis requirements of the customer in global tenders . Being in coordination with the Tender Manager based in Norway .
- Negotiating contracts with carriers and clients.
- Coordination and participation in promotional activities and exhibitions whenever necessary.
- Reviewing sales reports and achieving profitability.
- Develops a business plan and sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales targets and profitability
- Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans as needed
- Maintains accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports through Sales Force System
- Maintains contact with all clients in the market to ensure high levels of client satisfaction
- Win business from new customers in line with target set
- Focusing on developing new business opportunities within Trucking , Ocean Freight , Airfreight , Multimodal services
- Generate increase in business from existing customer listed in your portfolio
- Generate new business accounts
- Maintain and grow a personal list
- Meet monthly and quarterly targets
- Having a remarkable Sales Records in previous companies
Desired Skills and Specializations
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor Degree
- Experience: Minimum from 10 years of experience in ACTIVE SALES in a Global Freight Forwarding / Transportation Companies- Experience " only " in Freight Forwarding ( Shipping / Trucking / Multimodal/ Air Freight )
Knowledge/skills:
- Experience / Knowledge in Road Freight , Sea Freight , Multimodal , Air Freight , Warehousing & Distribution
- Knowledge of the principles and methods of offering, promoting, and selling services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, and sales techniques.
- Knowledge of the principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes assessing customer needs, meeting quality standards for services, and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Obtaining training courses or workshops in business development, an accredited specialist in marketing and sales workshop, an effective sales skills workshop (tools and techniques), a customer service workshop (customer loyalty and satisfaction)
- Has a remarkable Sales Records in previous companies and able to provide customer records if needed / asked
- Able to provide Success Stories in Sales in his/her records
- Computer skills proficiency is good.
- Knowledge of using Sales Force system for sales activities
- Languages: Proficiency in English is a must
