A panel of independent experts evaluates these innovations, with the results contributing to the index score.
The index score comprises 70% quantitative factors, including turnover in the Netherlands (25%), the number of permanent employees (25%), and the number of square meters of warehousing in the Netherlands (20%). The remaining 30% is determined by the scores on six innovation themes, with each theme accounting for 5% of the score. These themes encompass sustainable transport and warehousing, deployment of labor and training, smart warehousing, deployment of supply chain management, and digitalization.
